The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 SW BILSINGTON THE CROSS (south-west side) 6/64 Cross House GV II House. C17 or earlier, extended late C20. Timber framed and clad with red brick, painted to front elevation with weather boarding on 1st floor. Plain tiled roof. Two parallel ranges. Two storeys with hipped roof with central stack. Two wooden casements on each floor and central panelled door with moulded flying cornice. Hipped rear wing. Included for group value.
