The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROLVENDEN MAYTHAM ROAD 1, 5272 Kingsgate TQ 8530 20/320 II
2. Built by the Weller family in the 1740s but exterior altered in C19. Two storeys red brick with grey headers. Hipped tiled roof. Four cambered sashes with keystones. Stringcourse. Entrance porch having quoined pilasters decorated with urns. Round arched doorcase with keystone bearing the Weller crest. The garden elevation has 2 canted bays. C19 addition to rear. The interior contains an early C18 staircase with 2 turned balusters to each tread and carved newel post, panelling and a C18 wooden fireplace, transferred from a house in Wimbledon, with Adamesque frieze.
