The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. CHARING FAVERSHAM ROAD 5272 Monkery Farmhouse TQ 95 SE 8/31 II 2. C17 or earlier timber-framed building, with the timbering exposed and painted brick infilling in the centre of the south front, but otherwise refronted with brick, now painted. Hipped tiled roof with portico to east and west. Three casement windows.
