The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING HIGH STREET (east side) Nos 14 and 16 (formerly listed as No 78) TQ 9549 22/24 14.2.67 II GV 2. C18. Two storeys and attics red brick. Hipped tiled roof with modillion eaves cornice and one hipped dormer. Three sashes with glazing bars intact, 2 of these on each floor being double sashes. Venetian shutters to all windows now. Doorcase with pilasters, cornice on console brackets, rectangular fanlight and double doors of 6 fielded panels.
