The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 1715 EAST CROSS (West Side)
8.5.50. No 8 8.4.70. No 9 8.5.50. Nos 10 & 11 TQ 8833 1/87

2. A terrace of 4 late C18 houses. 3 storeys timber-framed and tile hung. Hipped roof and modillion eaves cornice. Long and short wooden quoins at end. 9 sashes with most glazing bars missing. Nos 8 and 9 have one bay window each on all floors, No 10 on the ground and 1st floors only. Doorcases with pilasters, open pediments, semi-circular fanlights and 6-panel moulded doors. No 11 has a modern shop front, the top of which has replaced the pediment of the doorway. The side elevation to No 11 is weatherboarded.
All the listed buildings on the West Side of East Cross form a group.
