The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING HUNGER HATCH Hunger Hatch Cottage TQ 94 NW 10/121 II 2. Small late mediaeval hall-house, now clad in brick. One storey and attics. Steeply pitched tiled roof with smoke louvres and off centre chimney stack. Two dormers and 2 casements. The interior has exposed curved braces and 2 inglenook fireplaces.

Small 4-bay timber framed house with formerly open 2-bay hall with a single bay at each end. Later alterations in the 17th century. (2)
