Summary

Grade II listed building.This fine Wealden hall house has a number of interesting features and was possibly not a domestic building, at least not in the normal sense. The timber-framed, close-studded building is on a base of red brick, the very steeply pitched hipped roof is tiled. Built circa 1500 with the insertion of the floor into the hall, with the cross-passage and lateral chimney structurally related to it, circa 1700. A range was added to the rear of the building in the 18th century.

Ramsden Farmhouse TQ 92 NW 13/418 II
2. C15 timber-framed and close-studded building on a base of red brick, the end window bays of the 1st floor oversailing on the protruding ends of the floor joists and bressumers. Overhanging eaves to the portion between. Very steeply pitched hipped tiled roof. Two storeys. Four casement windows. The 1st floor of the north-west front also oversails. C18 L-wing of red brick added behind.
