The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROLVENDEN 1. 5272 Halden Place TQ 83 SE 8/378 16.8.62. II GV
2. C18 house, possibly built on earlier foundations. One brick is dated 1769. Two storeys attics and semi-basement. Ground floor and basement red brick, above tile hung. Half-hipped tiled roof with one dormer and wooden eaves cornice. Three sashes with glazing bars intact. C19 glazed porch at the head of 9 steps containing door of 6 fielded panels. The first floor of the rear elevation and the end elevation are faced with mathematical tiles. The interior contains an inglenook fireplace and a breadoven in the basement.
