The building was built in the early 19th century as a three cell single storey structure, with a fireplace in the central room. c1890 the first floor was added as a timber stud construction, again divided into three rooms. A second chimney stack was added at this time. Sometime in the 20th century a single storey pent-roofed extention was added to the north side. (1)
