Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 SW RUCKINGE MARSH ROAD (west side) 6/105 Black Beams GV II Cottage. Circa 1700, extended C20. Timber framed and part exposed with plaster infill and extended with painted brick. Plain tiled roof. Single cell unit in origin. One storey and attic on stone plinth with gambrel roof with raking dormer and stack projecting and offset to end left. Single 3 light leaded wooden casement and offcentre boarded door on ground floor. Outshot to rear, and mid C20 extension to left with glazed door and sidelights. A rare example of a small rural cottage, possibly for sheep watchers.
