Summary

A number of flint implements were found in the extensions to Chatham Dockyard in 1871. The finds included two narrow chisels of grey flint, a partly polished axe of grey flint, a probable Bronze Age unfinished and unperforated axe-hammer of greenstone and a piece of deer antler, probably once used as a haft for a stone tool.
