The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING EGERTON ROAD Charing Heath Brockton TQ 94 NW 10/70 II 2. C17 or earlier timber-framed building refronted in C18. Two storeys painted brick. Hipped tiled roof with massive brick chimney stack. Two sashes with glazing bars intact.
