The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 04 SE BROOK PLUMPTON LANE (north side)
4/49 Plumpton Farmhouse and garden walls (formerly 27.11.57 listed under the parish of Wye) GV II
House. C16, clad and much extended C17. Timber framed rear wing, tile hung on ragstone base, and extended in red brick in irregular Flemish bond. Plain tiled roofs. Main block: 2 storeys on plinth with plat band and hipped roof with large stack to centre right. Four cross windows on 1st floor and 2 segmentally headed sashes on ground floor with half-glazed door to right with flat hood. Moulded panelled door in left return in C20 flat roofed porch. Rear wing: the remains of an earlier timber framed building. Garden walls, about 5 feet high of red brick, in part on earlier base, late C18, extending some 25 metres south of house and returned along road and back to house porch.
