The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 GREAT CHART ASHFORD ROAD Pig and Whistle Farmhouse TQ 9741 24/23 II 2. Probably C17, refaced with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above. Hipped tiled roof with pentice to north and east. Over-hanging eaves. Casement windows. One window and one dormer facing south, one window facing west.
