Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NW RUCKINGE BRISLEYWOOD LANE (west side) 3/96 Brisley Cottage II House. C16 or earlier, C17 and extended late C20. Timber framed and clad with painted brick, painted tile hanging and weather boarding. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys on painted ragstone plinth and 1 storey, with roof stepped up to left, hipped and with gablet to lower right hand section. Stack offcentre to left. Three light wooden casement on each floor to left, with small mezzanine light to right and 2 light and 3 light wooden casements to right. Plank and stud door to centre left in C20 gabled porch. Single storey hipped weather boarded C20 wing to left and extensive C20 wings to rear. Interior: full frame exposed, the right hand section of the main block open to the roof, with tie beam roof on main posts with jowls dying out; carpenters marks.
