The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 BETHERSDEN SNOAD HILL Snoad Hill Cottage (formerly listed as Nos 1 and 2 Snoadhill Cottages) TQ 94 SW 14/51 14.2.67
II 2. A timber-framed building, probably a C15 Wealden hall-house, refaced with red brick on the ground floor and tile-hung above, the only timbering visible being the curved braces and bracket which support the overhanging eaves of the centre of the buildings. The end window bays on each side of this centre portion, which originally oversailed on the 1st floor, have been underbuilt. Hipped tiled roof. Dering windows. Two storeys, 3 windows.
