Full Description

From the National Heritage List for England:

TQ 8927, 21/457

WITTERSHAM, THE STREET, No. 30

(Formerly listed as: No 30 (Kings Mill))

16.08.62.

GV

II

A timber-framed building, C17 or earlier refaced with red brick on the ground floor and tile hung above. Tiled roof with four hipped dormers. Six casement windows. Doorcase with flat hood on curved brackets and door of six fielded panels.

Listing NGR: TQ8968426969.

Information received in 2017 suggested the identification of the building as 'Kingsmill' was wrong and based on a confusion between the name of a past owner and the building itself. There has apparently never been a mill on the site. (2)
