The following text is from the original listed building designation:

2. C18. 2 storeys and attic, red mathematical tiles on timber-framing. Half-hipped roof with modillion eaves cornice having 2 dormers with added C19 gables. 5 sashes with glazing bars intact except for a large modern bay window built out at the east end of the front on the ground floor. Doorcase with pilasters, pediment, segmental fanlight and 6-panel moulded door, the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
Nos 138 to 142 (even) form a group with Nos 2 & 4/6 West Cross.
