Findspot record TQ 55 NE 4 - Gallo-Belgic coin

Harrison had an uninscribed gold coin which was found in 1895 at Ives,or Hives, an orchard centred at TQ 586 570 (e) on the northern side of Oldbury Camp; at that time it was the third coin of the type found there. There is a gold stater (Gallo-Belgic A.B.1) on exhibition in Maidstone Museum, ex. the late Sir E. Harrison's collection, but it is not possible to determine whether this is the coin from Ives or another from Seal which Harrison is known to have possessed (see TQ 55 SE 18).(1-5)
