Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NE ALDINGTON FORGE HILL (east side) 4/29 Shepherd's House and Shepherd's Cottage GV II House pair. Late C18. Timber framed and tile hung on 1st floor and red and blue chequered brick ground floor. Two storeys to triple span hipped roof with stack to left. Regular fenestration of 2 sashes on each floor with vertical glazing bars, and central panelled door with cornice hood with wooden casement on 1st floor and 2 shallow bays on ground floor to left. Right return with double carriage doors with cambered head and multi-paned casement to workshop/store rooms. The left hand cottage has been altered late C20, but was originally of the same pattern. Included for group value.
