The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING HIGH STREET (west side) New House Cottages (Nos 1 to 4 (consec)) TQ 94 NE 11/94 TQ 9549 22 94 II 2. Early C19 range of 2 storeys red brick, though No 1 is of red brick with the first floor tile-hung. Hipped tiled roof. Brick modillion eaves cornice. Four casements, the ground floor windows set in cambered arches. Two simple double doorcases.
