The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BIDDENDEN 1. 5272 Hareplain Farmhouse Hare Plain TQ 83 NW 3/103 16.8.62. II 2. A C15 Wealden hall-house with 2 bay hall. Timber-framed with plaster infilling, the ground floor rebuilt in red brick, the 1st floor of the end window bays close studded and originally oversailing but now underbuilt and on the inside of them small bays built out on both floors. The portion between the bays is recessed and has overhanging eaves supported on brackets, 2 storeys. Three casement windows. Hipped tiled roof with massive brick chimneystack. Three casement windows. Doorcase with flat hood on brackets.
