The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 PLUCKLEY THE STREET (south-west side) Premises occupied by A G Homewood Butcher and Street House (formerly listed as House and shop premises inmediately north of school) TQ 9245 27/6 14.2.67. II GV 2. C18. Two storeys red brick and grey headers. Hipped tiled roof. Three Dering windows, with brick cambered head linings above the round-headed lights, with keyblocks at the angles and in the centre of the lights. Doorcase with flat hood on scroll brackets. Small butcher's shop-front to the north-west.
