Listing NGR: TR0296741487

Early 17th century. This barn is aligned 90 degrees to, and abuts the SW corner of an earlier barn (TR 04 SW 249). 17.65m N-S x 10.5m E-W, with a central area measuring 13.75m x 6.1m. Originally 3 bays long with a catslide roof producing integral lean-tos on all sides. A full height extention to the southern end producing an extra bay was constructed in the 18th century. There is a wagon proch at the front and a half-height opening at the rear. The walls appear to have been weatherboarded from the beginning. In addition to various minor later alterations, the southern lean-to is a brick and stone construction of 18th/19th century date. (2)

Sturctural assessment concluded that if it is to be converted into accomodation a complete overhaul will be needed, though in its present state it is structurally stable. (3)
