Monument record TQ 76 NW 20 - Jutish burials, Strood Hill, Rochester

Summary

A Jutish grave containing a skeleton, spearhead and knife, was found on Strood Hill, during the construction of Jersey and Castle View Roads. Another Jutish burial containing a skeleton, spearhead, and shield umbo was found on Woodstock Road in 1919. The 2 burials are sited on the brow of the hill.
