The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NE ALDINGTON ROMAN ROAD (south side) 4/52 Beulah and Belarica Cottage GV II House row and shop. C16, altered and extended C18-C20. Timber framed and clad and extended with painted brick and tile hanging, with plain tiled roofs. The main core of 2 storeys on plinth with hipped roof with gablets and stack to centre right. Three wooden casements on 1st floor and 2 on ground floor, with half-glazed central door with flat hood on brackets. Extended to right and partly overbuilt by Belerica Cottage, 2 storeys, the upper tile hung, with 2 wooden casements on 1st floor, and C20 bow on ground floor with glazed door to left. Projecting at left, Beulah retains single storey pediment- gabled shop front with bowed window extended to left by 2 storey block, weather boarded on 1st floor, with C20 bowed window. Further hipped ranges to rear (extended late C20 rear left).
