Findspot record TQ 76 NW 27 - 10th century inscribed silver brooch, Cuxton

Summary

An inscribed silver brooch dating to the 10th century was reportedly found in Cuxton in the 19th century. According to the British Museum the artefact was found in 1930 and purchased by the museum in 1933. Other separate references state that the brooch was found in 1814. The exact provenance of the find also remains uncertain.
