The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 GREAT CHART THE STREET (north-west side) Gothic cottages (Nos 3 and 4) TQ 9842 26/65 II GV 2. Mid C19 pair. One storey and attics stone rubble. Tiled roof with massive brick chimney stack. One gable to each, containing dormer and carved bargeboards. Two casements. Simple doorcase.
