Main construction periods 1500 to 1799 Place Farmhouse : listed building Timber framed house comprising one bay of a formerly open 2-bay hall house and the upper end of a Wealden house. The end was originally jettied at end as well as the front, The lower end and service end was demolished in the 18th century.

WOODCHURCH THE GREEN 1. 5272 To 59 (Place Farmhouse) TQ 9434 22/532 16.8.62. II
2. Cl6 timber-framed building of 2 storeys, refaced in the Cl8 with red brick and grey headers but below the eaves of the north-west front is a massive beam arranged as an arch with brackets at its angles. This was the original tie beam. Hipped tiled roof. Two casement windows to 1st floor. Two 5-light casements to ground floor. C19 weather porch.
