Description from record TQ 82 NW 1 :
[TQ 8343 2730] St. Peter's Church [NAT] (1) St. Peter's Church, Newenden. The arcade is 14th century with 15th century windows. (2) In normal use. (3) Parish Church of St. Peter, Grade II*, Newenden. The nave and aisles are 13th to 14th century, the south porch 18th century, the bell turret late 19th century and the chancel rebuilt 1930-1. The churchyard contains some 18th century table tombs and three 18th century headstones with three cherubs each. (For full description seelist.) (4) St. Peter. A fragment of a much larger church. Demolition in 1700 left only the nave and north aisle, with it's 14th century arcade on octagonal piers. Traces of a south aisle. Midget south west tower and spire of 1859, by G. M. Hills. Midget neo-Norman chancel of 1930-1. Late Norman font. (5)

2. Chancel. Nave of 3 bays with narrow North Aisle and a small portion of the South Aisle, South Porch and small square bell turret of 1859 surmounted by a shingled spire at the south-west corner of the nave. Barrel vaulted roof. Three crownposts to Nave with moulded central tie beam. The Nave and Aisles are Cl5 to Cl4, the South Porch C18, the bell turret late C19 the Chancel rebuilt 1950-1. Norman font. Jacobean pulpit. The churchyard contains some Cl8 table tombs and 3 C18 headstones with 3 cherubs to each. Listing NGR: TQ8399327794 (6)
