The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING HIGH STREET (east side) Nos 34 and 36 (North End Cottage) (formerly listed as North End Cottage and the Westminster Bank Ltd) TQ 9549 22/20 14.2.67 II GV 2. C15 to C16 timber-framed building. The ground floor refaced with brick, now painted, the first floor plastered and slightly oversailing. Two storeys and attics. Hipped tiled roof with 2 dormers. Two casement windows. No 34 has an C18 curved shop window, complete with glazing bars and a door, both flanked by narrow reeded pilasters with a cornice over the whole. The interior has chamfered ceiling beams.
