The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5273 CHARTHAM MYSTOLE
Mystole Coach House TR 05 SE 11/258 30.1.67.
II* GV
2. Early C18. Three storeys red brick and grey headers. Hipped tiled roof. Stringcourses. In the centre of the roof is a square turret grooved to resemble masonry and probably faced with wood, with a clock-face, an iron railing above it and, inset within this, a circular cupola containing a bell with a leaden dome and a weather-vane over it. On the ground floor are four coach-houses with elliptical heads, painted keystones and double doors. The central door is now a doorcase with elliptical fanlight and narrow lights in each side of the door. Sun fire plaque.
