Grade II* listed building. Main construction periods 1700 to 1899. No 17 Cathedral Precincts. A large L-shaped 18th century house of two storeys built in red brick with a stone stringcourse above each floor and a tiled roof. The end of the south wing was altered in the 19th century.

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 944 THE CATHEDRAL PRECINCTS
No 17 TR 1557 NW 5/11 3,12.49.

2. A large L-shaped C18 house. 2 storeys and attics red brick. Tiled roof having 3 dormers with curved pediments. Brick parapet. Stone stringcourse above each floor. 7 sashes with glazing bars intact, Doorcase has flat hood supported on scrolled console brackets, a rectangular fanlight and 6 panelled door. The end of the south wing has been altered in file Cl9 and a bay window added on both floors.
