Description from record TR 15 NE 163:
Nos 3 and 4, The Borough [TR 15095817 sited from OS 1:1250 1971]. Grade II. Early 15th century timber-framed building refaced in the 18th century. (1) Probably 15thc and 16thc timber framed building. (2)

2. Early C15 timber-framed building refaced in the C18. 2 storeys faced with fishscale tiles. Old tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers. 2 sashes with glazing bars intact set in moulded architraves. Later C19 shopfronts.
Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and Nos 7 to 21 (consec) form a grade II group. Also forms a group with Nos 72 to 74 (consec) and St Mary Northgate Hall, Northgate.
