The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 944 BROAD STREET (North East Side)
No 37A and 38 TR 1557 NW 5/291 3.5.67.

2. A timber framed building refaced in C19. 2 storeys stuccoed. Old tiled roof with 3 dormers. 3 sashes in moulded architraves with verticals only. Bressumers. Ground floor to No 37A has a doorcase in moulded architrave with a C19 shopfront. No 38 has 1 sash and a doorcase with a rectangular fanlight. The south wall has a crow-stepped gable end.
Nos 33 to 44 (consec) and No 46 form a group.
