Full Description
[Marginal] A great number of cists, containing ashes and covered withmounds were destroyed when Ightham Common was prepared for cultivationc. 1857. "... the possibility that they might have been of Early Bronze Age date seems remote." (1,2,3) Most of Ightham Common has been divided up into large building plots. Nothing was noted during fieldwork in these or the few remaining undeveloped and wooded areas. (4)
