Description from record TR 15 SW 24:
Swarling Oast, Petham, built 1790. In 1983, four of the then five remaining kiln roofs and part of the stowage roof collasped following a heavy storm. (Oast Cottage, South Manor Farm, is shown on OS 1:2500,1972 at TR 1298 5290. From the photograph this can be deduced as the building attached to the west side of the Oast, this being at TR 1300 5291) (2)
