Summary

According to a Corpus of Religious material from Roman Britain, 12 ritual pits were found in Rochester. They contained several Samian vessels, three 'Upchurch' beakers, coins, rings, knives, nails, bone pins, animal bones and oyster shells. One of the pits also contained a human skeleton. The precise location at which these pits were found is uncertain.
