The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FOX'S CROSS ROAD 1. 5273 (West Side) Ellenden Farmhouse TR 06 SE 5/54 II 2. Circa 1830. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Brown brick. Hipped slate roof. Glazing bars intact. Venetian shutters on 1st floor. Round headed doorway with semi-circular fanlight and modern curved hood added. Mid C19 gas lamp on north east corner on wall bracket, square plan caller at base than top. Bell shaped vent.
