The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SOUTH STREET 1. 5275 (North Side) Brooklands Farmhouse No 166 (Brooklands Cottage) TR 16 NW 4/46 5B 16 SW 6/46 II 2. L-shaped house. The west wing probably early C18 the main front circa 1830. 2 storeys, 3 windows, glazing bars intact. Red brick With tiled roof and eaves cornice. 2 small bays on the ground floor. Rusticated round heeded doorway between the bays with semi-circular fanlight.
