2. 1887-8  Built of Portland stone.  Square in shape surmounted by a crown held up by the flippers of 4 dolphins.  4 segmental pediments and cornice.  4 round-headed panels and scrolled buttresses.  Plinth of 3 steps.  The south aide has a stone statue of a lady in Grecian dress.  The drinking fountain was presented to Herne Bay as a Jubilee Memorial of Queen Victoria's reign by Major Horation D Davies Sheriff of London end Middlesex 1887-8.
