Description from record TR 15 NW 406:
Nos 43 and 43A St Peter's Street [TR 14675801 sited from OS 1/1250 1971]. Grade II. A timber-framed building refaced. (1) No 43 St Peter's Street was observed during restoration work. Part of a medieval and 17th century timber frame was exposed. (2) No 43 St Peter's Street. One bay of medieval timber-framed building. Contemporary rear wing of one bay. 17th century extension. No 43A St Peter's Street. One bay of medieval building. (3) 43 and 43a St Peter's Street. An examination of the interior confirmed the presence of a 15th century frame to buildings with an early 17th century facade. The easternmost roof truss is numbered 1(4), indication of an original continuation to the west. (4)

(South West Side) Nos 43 and 43A TR 1458 SE 2/308 3.5.67. Nos 43 and 43A II GV 2. A timber-framed building refaced with plaster and imitation timber-framing. 2 gables, Tiled roof. Sash windows with glazing bars intact above ground floor. Overhang on brackets. Cl9 shop fronts. The rear elevation has 2 gables, 1 of them weatherboarded.

Work undertaken during shop refitting in 1986 "confirmed the presence of a 15th century frame with two bays of crown-post roof surviving" (from the original report, 1).
