Full Description
[TQ 742 687 sited to Old Crown Inn from source] The jug was found during rebuilding operations of the Old Crown Inn in the mid-nineteenth century, which re-opened in 1863 as The Crown. It was an individual find of dark grey fabric, medium tempered sandy ware with no glaze or slip, known as an Ovoid jug in West Kent gray ware. (1)
