Numbers 11 and 12 Burgate were subject to a historic building survey in 2011. The survey concluded that number 11 and 14C The Precincts originated as a single house of early 19th century date. The building was on the site of two earlier tenements fronting Burgate. Number 12 was part of a lte medieval building comprising 12 to 15a Burgate. The outbuildings behind number 12 originally formed part of number 11. (1)
