2. l Late C18 to early C19. 3 storeys stuccoed. Stone coping. Rainwater head. 2 C19 sashes set in moulded wooden architraves. Later C19 shopfront. Left side doorcase set in moulded wooden architraves. Rectangular fanlight and 4 panelled door.
Nos 23 to 37 (consec) and the Christchurch Gateway form a group.

No 31 Burgate [TR 15025783 sited from OS 1/1250 1972]. Grade II. Mid 18th century. Nos 32 and 32A Burgate [TR 15015784 sited from OS 1/1250 1972]. Grade II. Late 18th to early 19th century. No 33 Burgate [TR 15005784 sited from OS 1/1250 1972]. Grade II. Mid 18th century. 19th century shopfront. (1) Nos 31-33 Burgate. Behind the 19th century facades, fabric dating back to the late medieval period was observed. (2) No 31 Burgate. Timber-framed. Earlier building behind facade. Nos 32, 32A Timber-framed. Roof trusses survive from late medieval period to just below collar level. Framing however appears to be late16th century to early 17th century. No 33 Brick with timber-framed section at rear. 4 storeys. Tiled hipped roof. Some late medieval fabric. (3) Late medieval roof trusses survive along the entire length of No 32 Burgate. (4)
