Nos 79 to 82 (consec) Northgate [TR 15165822 sited from OS 1/1250 1971]. Grade II. Largely 18thc fronts, but preserving the overhangs on the 2nd floor from an older building. (1) No 79 Northgate. Early 17th century, double jettied, timber-framed house. Nos 80, 81, 82 Northgate. Front part consists of three 16th - 17th century single unit, three storey houses with an early 19th century front (1808). Beind these, beyond a passage (now incorporated) is a large medieval building. One storey recent extension. (2)

Nos 8l and 82 have a rusticated ground floor with round-headed doorways, semi-circular fanlights and 6 panelled moulded doors. Nos 76 to 91 (consec) form a group. Listing NGR: TR1516558223 (3)
