Nos 86A 86B 87 88A 88B and 89 Northgate [TR 15195826 sited from OS 1/1250 1971]. Grade II. A range of timber-framed buildings refronted. (1) Nos 86A and 86B Northgate. Part of a range of timber-framed, jettied building, perhaps medieval. Much altered and raised. Nos 87, 88A and 88B Northgate. Timber-framed building. Part of a a long range. No 89 Northgate. Part of a range of timber-framed buildings, perhaps medieval. (2)

2. A range of timber-framed buildings refronted, 3 storeys stuccoed. Hipped slate roofs with moulded cornice except to No 89, 3 3-light sashes and 1 ordinary sash on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor has 4 sashes and 1 altered casement. C19 shop fronts. No 86 has a doorcase with vestigial hood, reeded pilasters and 6 panelled doors.
Nos 76 to 91 (consec) form a group.
