Description from record TR 15 NE 42:
No 28 Palace St (The King's School Shop). Grade II*. (TR 15025812 sited from OS 1:2500 1957). A 16thc timber-framed house. Fine 18thc shop front. (1) Additional bibliography. (2) The King's School shop, No 28 Palace Street, is believed by some to have been built by Sir John Boys, who died in 1612, however, an apparent "construction" date of 1617 at the apex of the gable probably suggests that this association is erroneous. The building was surveyed in 1988 and detailed drawings showing the structural failure were produced. (3) No 28 Palace Street. Timber-framed 17th century house. (4)
