The Canterbury UAD states that there is little known about this inn. It appears to have been established in c. 1840. It is still listed in the Kelly's Directory for 1931; and 1949-50. The Public House however appears to have closed sometime during the 1950's as it is listed as aprivate residence in the Kelly's Directory for 1961.
