Description from record TR 15 NW 1149:
In 1941, a Technical Training Group of the Royal Engineers had headquarters at the City Police Station, Pound Lane. The Canterbury police themselves had a wartime Control Room in the adjacent Westgate, but they must presumably have continued to use much of the adjacent police station alongside the Engineers. (3,4)
